主要研究领域及兴趣
以单颗粒冷冻电镜(SPA)、冷冻电子断层成像(cryo-ET)、冷冻聚焦离子束-扫描电镜双束电镜(FIB-SEM)等冷冻电子显微学技术及X射线晶体学为主要技术手段,辅以其他生物物理学和计算生物学方法,主要关注:1)染色质纤维及核小体相关复合物的三维结构,及其在表观遗传调控中的作用机制;2)病原微生物致病性相关复合物的结构生物学研究。此外,还将致力于开发冷冻电子显微学新方法和新技术。
近年来解析了包括真核生物30nm染色质纤维、结核分枝杆菌毒力因子分泌相关蛋白EspB及诺维氏梭菌外毒素蛋白Tcn alpha等多个具有重要生物学意义的大分子复合物结构。以第一作者或共同作者身份在Science、Cell、Biophysical Journal等期刊发表多篇研究论文。关于30nm染色质高级结构的研究成果被多本知名结构生物学和生物化学教科书引用,并且入选“中科院十八大以来重大成果”及“中科院十二五标志性重大进展核心成果”。
