1.植物交配系统与进化生态学

2.植物分类学

高等植物交配式样是多样化的，了解交配系统是研究进化的前提。我们对泽泻科交配系统定量研究，揭示了不同克隆构型对异交率的影响，并将荧光蛋白等分子标记用于基因流和异交率的检测；在慈姑属中发现了离生心皮雌蕊群中花粉管心皮间生长，并证实它能使未授粉雌蕊结实。今后的研究将集中在花粉管雌蕊外生长的分子机制等方面。

从事野外科学考察的同时，我们也承担武汉大学植物标本馆建设职责。实体标本采集与网络数据库相结合，实现对植物多样性和变异性的数字化认知。
