Research Overview:
Birds are important members of global ecosystem and one of the most sensitive animal groups to environment variation. We focused on the molecular evolution mechanism of the complex behavior patterns of endemic birds in the Tibetan plateau habitat of the "third pole of the earth". The major research interests include: 1) research on life history variation and behavioral ecology of endemic bird species in the plateau; 2) high altitude adaptation of a series of characteristics, including bahavior and physiology, during the expansion of birds to the qinghai-tibet plateau.
